CHARLOTTE, NC – Rosenberg AC axial fans from the AKFD range with winglet tips now meet all requirements of the ErP Directive for fans to be used in the European Union. These ErP-ready AC fans are ideal for many HVAC applications, including condensers, heaters, evaporators, heat pumps and air-cooled water chillers.

The Rosenberg AKFD AC axial line includes 22-inch (560 mm), 25-inch (630 mm), 28-inch (710 mm), 29.5 inches (750 mm), 31.5-inch (800 mm), 35.5 inches (900 mm) and 40-inch (1000 mm) models. They are available in 208, 230 or 460 volt operation at 60 Hz. All sizes employ six (6) finned blades.

Rosenberg’s finned or winglet-style blade design reduces noise by up to three (3) dBA and boosts fan performance by decreasing turbulence at the wing tips. This improves fluid dynamics and increases fan output, providing a steep airflow/pressure curve. Rosenberg’s 40-inch axial fans are capable of delivering nearly 16,000 CFM at free air. The 630-mm model can deliver airflow with static pressure up to 1.5” H2O water gauge at 60 Hz operations.

Rosenberg AC axial fans can be installed in any position and speed is 100% infinitely variable. Thermal contacts provide standard motor protection. Insulation is to Class F and side cable connection or connecting box on the rear side of the motor are standard selections.

The fans can also be specified with electronic commutated (EC) motors. EC fans feature standard AC input power, and extended-life, low-temperature brushless DC motors that are controlled by maintenance-free electronic circuitry.  All Rosenberg EC fans meet the requirements of the ErP Directive.

EC fans operate at higher efficiency levels than standard AC fans. Rosenberg EC motors are easily speed controllable via integrated electronics. Air volume can be adjusted to any possible operating point. The integrated, intelligent electronics also allow for pressure or air quality control.

In addition to a wide selection of standard products, Rosenberg’s engineering and manufacturing specialists also offer application assistance and work directly with customers to provide customized air movement solutions.
